I agonized for days, nay, weeks over the name of this blog. I couldn’t find a name that better summarized what this blog was all about except for “Science Is True and the Church Is Too.” I just couldn’t think of anything else.
Now, that’s a super catchy name, and it’s easy to remember. And it rhymes- everybody loves a good rhyme. The only problem with it was the URL, because “scienceistrueandthechurchistoo.home.blog” is longer than most people’s address-bar-typing attention span, and it looks like a complete mess.
The alternative was to use an acronym. But “S.I.T.A.T.C.I.T.”, the full acronym of “Science Is True and the Church Is Too”, was strange and not super catchy, and therefore not easy to remember. Plus, how do you even pronounce “sitatcit”? … Sit-at-kit? Sit-at-sit? See-ta-cheet?
But I felt a sort of urgency to get this blog rolling, and I was set on calling it “Science Is True and the Church Is Too”, so I bit the bullet and went the acronym route. And now we have “sitatcit.home.blog” as the URL. I know it’s weird, and it sounds funny to try to say out loud, but we’re all just going to have to learn to embrace it.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, and definitely don’t judge a blog by its awkward URL.

P.S. I pronounce it “sit-at-kit”, but feel free to say it whichever way you see fit. Or, if you prefer, avoid saying it altogether, and just type it into the address bar of your browser, and let the smooth WiFi currents of the internet guide you here.
