Major Points in the Pattern Made by the 2017-2034 Solar Eclipses

Studying the past American solar eclipses of 2017 and 2024 as well as the future Middle East solar eclipses in 2027 and 2034 has convinced me that these particular astronomical phenomena are very important (I wrote about my theory of their significance here). If you remember, each of these pairs forms an ‘X’ over the Earth’s surface.

I have discovered some very interesting things about the 2017-2024 eclipse window (which I’ll write about in a future post), and so I’m likewise anticipating some more very important things to occur during the 2027-2034 eclipse window. Of course, we don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but we should keep our eyes peeled and expect to see some very great and marvelous things come to pass (see D&C 35:10-11).

In order to fully appreciate how incredibly special these eclipses are, we must become familiar with the two-part pattern they form over the time period from Monday, August 21, 2017 to Monday, March 20, 2034.

The recent 8 April 2024 eclipse was exactly 2422 days after the 21 August 2017 eclipse. This number seems quite unexceptional until you realize that this is exactly 7 eclipse years–an eclipse year being 346 days.

The same can be said for the Middle East eclipses. The final eclipse on 20 March 2034 is exactly 2422 days after the 2 Aug 2027 eclipse. So, each X pair spans precisely 7 eclipse years–a highly symbolic number.

But further, the 2 Aug 2027 eclipse is 1211 days after the 8 Apr 2024 eclipse. Doing the math, you see that these two eclipse windows are separated by a gap of exactly 3.5 eclipse years–yet another majorly symbolic number. Putting them all together, we get something like this symmetrical pattern (in eclipse years):

|ECLIPSE|>>7y>>|ECLIPSE|>>3.5y>>|ECLIPSE|>>7y>>|ECLIPSE|

We can further divide each of these 2 eclipse windows into halves—each half spanning 1211 days. When we do this, the exact midpoints themselves are actually all total solar eclipses. Incorporating this, our pattern appears as so (I’ve put the secondary eclipses in lowercase):

|ECLIPSE|>>3.5y>>|eclipse|>>3.5y>>|ECLIPSE|>>3.5y>>|ECLIPSE|>>3.5y>>|eclipse|>>3.5y>>|ECLIPSE|

These two additional eclipses are 14 December 2020 (over Chile) and 25 November 2030 (over the Indian Ocean). They do not form X’s as do the main eclipses and are far away from the other paths of totality.

But that’s not all… We can subdivide this time period even further by finding the midpoint between each of these eclipses. Because 1211 days is an odd number, any midpoint we calculate will be halfway between two dates. And, interestingly, each of these midpoints falls on a Full moon (solar eclipses always happen during a New moon). Locating these midpoints may seem a strange thing to do, but I promise you that very interesting events lined up with these dates in the 2017-2024 time frame, and so it’s advantageous for us to know also the ones that are to come. Here’s the pattern we get (fm = “full moon”):

|ECLIPSE|>>1.75y>>|fm|>>1.75y>>|eclipse|>>1.75y>>|fm|>>1.75y>>|ECLIPSE|>>1.75y>>|fm|>>1.75y>>|ECLIPSE|>>1.75y>>|fm|>>1.75y>>|eclipse|>>1.75y>>|fm|>>1.75y>>|ECLIPSE|

Yeah, I know that’s hard to look at, so I’m going to give it to you in a couple other formats. I calculated each of these dates, and you can check them yourself using a “middle date calculator.” Here’s a text list:

  • 21 Aug 2017: solar eclipse
  • 18-19 Apr 2019: full moon
  • 14 Dec 2020: solar eclipse
  • 11-12 Aug 2022: full moon
  • 8 Apr 2024: solar eclipse
  • 4-5 Dec 2025: full moon
  • 2 Aug 2027: solar eclipse
  • 29-30 Mar 2029: full moon
  • 25 Nov 2030: solar eclipse
  • 22-23 Jul 2032: full moon
  • 20 Mar 2034: solar eclipse

And here’s a graphic I made:

I’m not making any predictions about these dates. I’m just showing you what they are so you can watch out for them and understand the pattern these fascinating eclipses make. As I’ve sought to understand better the end times, it’s become increasingly apparent to me that God operates on multiple calendars and cycles. I’ve found extremely interesting events lining up with the Hebrew calendar, the Mayan calendar, the Gregorian calendar… even the cycle of Venus, and I would wager that there are other planetary and stellar cycles that He’s using too that are just waiting to be discovered. But we just live our lives, completely unaware of these clocks ticking away.

But anyway, keep watching. Stay curious. Look for patterns. You’ll see stuff, I’m sure of it.
